If the wig you’re looking for is not on this site but it’s from a manufacturer I partner with, I can get it for you (as long as it’s in stock).

Why should I get my wig from you instead of a “big wig site”?

You get a relationship with a wig stylist that brings personalized service and 20+ years of wig experience to you (and over 40 years of hairstyling experience). Internet wig sites don’t offer the customizations that make a wig your own: cutting in/shortening bangs, making the base a little smaller or larger, thinning, trimming excess length, sewing in clips or tape tabs, coloring human hair wigs and more. You’ll have a wider variety of wigs to choose from because of the manufacturers I partner with that don’t sell their wigs on the internet. And I have severe hair loss - alopecia areata - and know exactly what it’s like to lose your hair and wear wigs.

Why should I pay for a session when I can just find answers to my wig issues on Google?

It takes a LOT of time and energy to weed through all of wig-related videos, blogs and Facebook groups. You may not know which ones are giving bad/misinformation (and they are legion). You don’t know what you don’t know about wigs! They mean well, but by following poor advice, you could end up making a bad selection or ruining your expensive wig.  Sadly, I see it all the time. Also, it’s unlikely the information you find will be specific to you and your unique needs.

Do I have to buy a wig from you if I book a session?

My goal is to offer personalized assistance, education and advice to those either new to wigs or having a less-than-ideal wig experience. Though high-quality wigs are available for purchase, buying one totally optional. There are many more in the salon I can show you during our session that are not shown here. After our session, please do feel free to buy from an internet wig retailer or a salon in your area if you’d rather. You’ll “go in armed” with the knowledge you need to make an informed choice.

Wouldn’t it be better to go to a wig salon?

Depending on the salon, this may be true. However, there may not be a wig salon for hundreds of miles. Or there may not be a reputable and ethical salon around, or their inventory is very limited. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience with the only one in your area. Perhaps you’re concerned about the COVID virus or embarrassed to go into a public salon where others can see and hear you talking with your stylist about your hair loss.

There’s a direct correlation between how knowledgeable and progressive your wig stylist is and how satisfied you will be with your wig, regardless of how it’s purchased (online vs. in-salon). Given my vast experience, the magic of technology and sending color samples if you’d like so you can see the colors in person, you will be amazed how specifically I can address your needs.

Isn’t it hard to match hair color online?

Sometimes. Sometimes it’s really simple. When in doubt, I can send you color swatches to choose from. With the incredible variety of hair color found in nature and your stylist’s artistry on your hair, we may not duplicate your color EXACTLY. But there is quite a variety of colors in wigs and hairpieces, and most human hair goods can be color-altered to more specifically customize the color. Before specializing in wigs, hair color was my specialty in the salon so I’ve got a pretty good grasp on the subject.

If your wig salon is so successful, why are you doing this?

Because I get to sit down. Seriously though, I’ve now restricted how many clients I’m seeing now in person so I can devote as much time as possible to online wig coaching. I can provide value to many more women this way. See my Testimonials.

How do I know a session with you is worth the cost?

Because hair is the fashion accessory you wear every day, time spent with a wig expert is a crucial investment your image. You want to make sure your wig looks like it could be your own hair, so style, color, fit and budget are all of paramount importance. It won’t matter what else you’re wearing if you’ve got the wrong wig style or an ill-fitting one! The cost of a consultation with a wig professional is a drop in the bucket compared to spending thousands of dollars on wigs that end up in a wig graveyard drawer, not to mention restocking fees from “winging it” online and the emotional cost of countless hours of frustration and embarrassment.
